Second day of hospitalization，day of surgery 7/30：

dad is staying in the hospital with me so i'm fine
i think about something a.m. nurse came in and brought me a big bag of sodium chloride injection
i think nurse will get it on my iv later

just woke up at about 8:30
didn't sleep well last night cuz the IV and ekg on me
and just got blood pressure measured

now i'm really thirsty
and my stomach is empty

sit and waiting for any further instruction... :/

(below are typed on august 1st... sorry for updating this late)

it's time!
i took off all my cloths and put on the surgery robe
and the nurse connected the sodium chloride injection with my IV

some hospital people pushed my bed out of the room
i ain't wearing glasses so it's all blurry
but i could still recognize some signs
took elevator from 15th floor to 2rd floor
and them i saw "cardiology" and then it "radiofrequency catheter"
i was trembling all the way cuz i'm too nervous knowing that i'm about to get cut @@
dad was with me

i was pushed to a room i think it's a waiting room
there's an old man beside me
he asked that if i'm doing the other kind of catheter (the one for opening up veins and arteries)
my father answered him that i'm doing catheter ablation
and them hospital people asked my dad to wait outside so my dad left and told me not to be nervous

after some minutes
it's my turn
they pushed my bed beside the surgery room
the door looks heavy, it's made of steel with a radiation hazard sign

then i saw a bed pushed beside me
there's a little child i heard that he was only 12 and did the same surgery

the doctor said i should pee before the surgery
so i took my sodium chloride injection to the bathroom
when i walked back to the surgery room i saw instruments and screens
and a huge instrument on top of the operating table
it's an x-ray transmitter
following the doctor's instructions, i sat on the table and then lay on it
they stuck sensors all over my body
they also stuck defibrillator on my back and on my chest
they put heavy coverings on my body and head except my right leg and neck
i could only face the left side
there i saw files in a cabinet and many other instruments

but i was still very conscious
so i asked the doctor, "can i have it stronger?"
the doctor said he'll inject more afterward
and i saw a doctor walked near my sodium chloride injection

they started to do local anesthetics on my neck
it hurts a lot!!!!! i can feel the needle! D:
i groaned...
the doctor put catheter into my neck and into my heart
i can feel something in my chest pressing against my lungs
it's not fine at all :(
and then i suddenly felt unclear the sounds got real blurry and i could hear echos
it felt like you're waken periodically when you're sleeping
and then it's my leg
it still hurts a lot!!! i groaned! the doctor put catheter inside my leg and to my heart

i could only recall parts of the surgery
i heard doctors calling numbers
250, 260, 300, 500...
300 watts, 20 second, 25 second...
ablation....
i felt my heart beating slow and fast
i remembered that i felt my heart stopped for a few second as well

and then a doctor came near my injection and my heart began to pump vigorously
the whole table was shaking @@

"i'm going to remove the catheter, it might hurt a bit"
"oh..." but i dun think it hurts

they pressed against my wound on my leg and neck
they put a very flexible bandage on my leg wound
a 2-kg sand bag was put on my leg wound

then they moved me to my bed and pushed me out of the room
i saw my dad, mom, and my brother
then all the way back my room on 15th floor

they said they'll remove the sand bag after 6 hours
and i could only lie flatly on my bed and i should not move for the next 24 hours

i talked to my family but my neck hurts
then i fell asleep

i remembered that during that day a lot of people came to visit me
there's my cousins, uncles, aunts, grandma
my friends
rose, kim, michelle lu, daniel lee, and keke and moms
i could only wave my hand and say thanks and bye
but i really appreciate their visit :D

nurse said i should pee
i did :)

Day of hospitalization，1 day before surgery 7/29：

can't sleep last night
cuz i slept too early last night

anyway just woke up and mom said there's one vacant room in the hospital
i'm leaving very very soon

i'm now at my room at hospital
good view of taichung city from the window

i'll get blood test later which is scary

didn't feel nervous about the surgery for now dunno why
and i got an armband!

i got blood pressure test, and ekg, and something really 害羞...
and went out of hospital to mcdonald's and familymart to buy our dinner

now i'm really nervous cuz i'll get blood test anytime :O

my family r here with me now; i'm really happy
my dad even got me flowers :))

just got x-ray
mom was informed that i'll have surgery tmr 11am
still waiting for blood test nervous!

btw my cousin came and dropped by cuz she worked here

got IV on my left wrist which also includes the blood test
it hurts for a while but it's ok now
i can't eat or drink after 12
but i think i'm ok with that

i also got a 24hr ekg machine
i'll carry it around with me

imma sleep now
dunno if i'll update for tmr

it's really getting on my nerves!!
massive research recently on web for info about the surgery and any first hand experience from past patients
but the descriptions really makes me even more nervous

got some insights from these two sites!

doctor said he'll give me conscious sedation
i'll be awake but not feeling anything
and after that i'll not remember anything during the surgery
it's memory loss! cool huh?

but whenever i think about how the wires and tubes are going into my arteries and veins
through right side of my neck and right leg
and into the heart
it's not cool anymore.... :(
sounds very painful
i wanna sleep thru it :((

so now i'll prepare things for tmr
hospital will call and it'll be the time of hospitalization
i'll bring my macbook pro and camera!
and things to spend time
since i can't move after the surgery

i'll update later if i got the chance....

i forgot to tell u that
i got a very expensive accessory for my D90
it's called GP-1
it'll locate my photos accurately! so i dun need to use my iphone geologtag app anymore
this way, i can save my iphone battery :))
and i tried it during our trip with dad's colleagues!
it worked out greatly!

almost a week from the last post
didn't do a lot this week
went to visit Isabel in fongyuan cuz she's leaving very soon
and yeh i like taking buses and trains
they're fun

um....and friday i went to see another doctor in china medical hospital
there're interns watching the diagnosis
but anyway, he arrange me a surgery on 7/30 (friday) and i'll be staying in hospital for 3 days
this will be my first surgery and staying in hospital, kinda nervous about it

oh yeh, and i have spent some time on TF2, gotta do some achievements!! TF2!!

it's a great weekend!
i had my first experience in night club this saturday night!
i think it's kinda like an advance version of prom in our school
i dunno... that's what i felt like
it's real smokey in there thou haha
i still got the smell all over my body now!
clothes i wore to the party are just very very very smoked!!! haha
and how did i go home that night?
no, i didn't. a friend let me stay at his house!

the third typhoon may form someday next week
it'll be named Chanthu 璨樹
recent tropical weathers in west pacific area are really active!
see how much typhoon we get this July!

oh yeh i got contact lens!
it's so cool!
i can see clearly without the feeling of something heavy pressing down on my nose (the feeling of wearing glasses)!
i'm a fast learner of wearing and taking off the lenses! haha!
i wear them in special occasions thou, not everyday :)
btw, my lenses are daily!

and Inception was awesome!
i really like the ideas in the movie: how dreams are created in levels and stuff!
very interesting
now i feel like my life is just a very long dream
and somewhere in the world i'm sleeping and dreaming!

yup and i'm typing now on my new macbook pro, still in the progress of setting up thou...
went to Yamay on tuesday
went to Taipei with tiff, jesse, joon, and andrew
we went to Jioufen and Shilin Night Market!

andrew and i met with andy, our old friends since elementary school, on thursday
we talked about stuff and i'm glad to hear that he's great!

and tmr night will be a good good night!

went to nine tribes or formosan aboriginal cultural village with Belle and Alice yesterday
took some photos too
i'll post them asap also the photos from flying cow ranch
after i'm back home today!
we went to sun moon afterwards for dinner!
then we made it to the last bus!! (it almost left!!)

getting a new macbook today!
yes! TF2 will run much smoother!!

oh yeah and the second typhoon of the year may form in these days

july 9th

i spent so much time organizing photos of Hehuanshan trip
like 2-3 days for RAW--> jpg
and flickring and fbing photos

woah
and today went to Flying Cow Ranch 飛牛牧場 with mom and godmother (乾媽)
walked and explored the nature! and of course took photos!
my godmother really loved us and wanted to take as many pictures with as we can
cuz we're leaving taiwan!
and we went to several of places!
they're all wonderful places where i could take photos :)

gonna show u photos sometime later
cuz i'm going to "Nine Tribes" amusement park (九族文化村) tmr with Belle!

need some rest! i'm very tired now... a bit dizzy (i feel like my arms are growing longer and macbook is get away from me @@)

sorry, haven't been updating for the last 2 days
too tired and busy after the trip

Hehuanshan is really a good place for sight seeing!
the mountains are beautiful, the sky is incredible!! so clear so blue!
the plants blossom colorful flowers!

and most importantly, the night sky is awesome!
there're like 100 times more stars than stars in Taichung city!
i dunno maybe a 1000 times

u can even see the galaxy! or Milky way!!
it's like a river running over the sky!
in chinese, it's called 天河 meaning "sky river"
this is my first time ever to realize what it really means!!

i'll show u the pics later when flickr uploadr finish uploading the pics!!

if u really like the nature, i strongly suggest u to go to Hehuanshan!!
but remember to bring more cloths cuz it's cold up there!

heart disease

i went to another doctor last night
after the echocardiogram, he said that i have Mitral Valve Prolapse, MVP.
he said i do not have PSVT
he gave me Inderal (or Propranolol) and Isoptin and i should take them as needed (when the heart disease breaks out)
it's contradicting thou....
my previous doctor said i might have PSVT and
i did an echocardiogram and he said my heart does not have any problem
so imma seek for another doctor for more opinion

anyway, i did tons of research online about the medication, PSVT, and MVP
i found out that Inderal can also deal with stage fright!!
i have serious stage fright!! my hands and legs tremble severely no matter how i convince myself that it's all ok
i found my best buddy to go on stage with!

i think i might have some problem with my autonomic nervous system thou
cuz it seems like i have difficulties in controlling my "fight or flight"

BTW,
im going to Hehuanshan 合歡山 tmr and the day after tmr!
gonna take tons of pic there!! cya soon then!
