back from Yingge 鶯歌
i'll upload photos later on on flickr
i have so much to tell!!
i was so tired yesterday when i was back from the trip!
cuz we all walked too much
------------ <-- line to separate from huge chunk of thoughts @@
my bro and i took a train to 新烏日 at first and then we met Belle at Taichung HSR station
(Johnny was there too but we didn't see him)
on our way to Banciao,
my iPhone suddenly vibrated and said there was a 5.0 earthquake somewhere in Hualien!
(usually the HSR stops if the quake is strong enough, so i was worried, but it turns out that our quake in the current location doesn't reach an 1.0 scale)
so we took the HSR to Banciao (saw johnny just before we got off the train)
so i followed my plan: taking MRT to 永寧 and the 917 bus to Yingge
so four of us took MRT to 永寧
and then we waited for 917 bus
this long!? i think we waited for half an hour and it was humid and hot outside!!!
oh yes, i saw 917 coming back on the other side (a good sign, telling us that there's still a bus going around)
so 917 FINALLY arrived and i stood up and told belle, johnny, and andrew to come along
and then it started to accelerate and just drove away leaving us behind....
i'm like wtf!!!
we gave up!! and 917 forever become our sign of bad luck!
so we decided to take MRT back to Banciao and take Taiwan Railway to Yingge
we arrived at Yingge at about 1 pm, late for 2 hours (it's all 917's fault)
and we met Iris at the station :)
so we told her about 917...
iris said she had already taken a bus to the Yingge Old Street, so she would show us the way!
so we walked and walked (still hot and humid) and finally arrived the Yingge Old Street (yay, AC)!
we chilled for a little while and tiff arrived just in time!
so we walked around the Old street and (is it andrew's iphone?) we found a neat little traditional restaurant!
all things of the restaurant are old, even the food they served are (of course not old) traditional!
it's called 厚道飲食店
http://www.wretch.cc/blog/hoodow/14697
i ordered 好吃焢肉飯 so delicious, a 蜂蜜粉圓, and 黃昏的故鄉 (alcoholic drink lol)
it wasn't expensive at all
according to my plan, our next stop was Ceramics Museum
people of the museum were so nice!! (taichung art museum sucks)
they were like, "welcome! u can take photos here, just remember to turn off the flash :)"
and i, ":)"
so we wandered around and took photos (also u cannot use a tripod in the museum, i think they don't want u to knock something down)
anyway, we stayed till the last minute and we decided not to walk back the train station (we may die in the middle of the road)
so tiff called taxi and we all arrived Taiwan railway Yingge station and took a train back to Taipei!
it was friday evening, so the train was extremely crowded!!
after we arrived Taipei, we took MRT to our last stop: takashimaya, a shopping mall in 天母
iris strongly suggested this place cuz we like fish and there is a huge fish tank there thou she doesn't like fish
the mall sure is amazing
a fish tank in the middle of two spiral escalators!!!
and the elevators go into the fish tank (of course not into the water)
we shopped at the Jason's market and dined at 鴛鴦 香港料理
i asked tiff, "what's a 冰火菠蘿油"
tiff, "it's very oily but very tasty, u should try it once!"
so i ordered one
it's really really nice!!!
after dinner and the elevators and escalators, bye tiff!
cuz iris missed all our firework plans
we burned some sparkles and took some pics!
it was late like 9:50 pm
so we rushed to mall's shuttle
fortunately, we made it to the last one
and we arrived MRT 芝山站
and we rushed back to Taipei station and bought the last HSR ticket of the day!
at 新竹 goodbye iris!
then we found out that iris forgot her hat, oh no~
we decided to mail to to her later on...
after we arrived taichung station, we said goodbye and it ended!
iris said, "she'll get the hat, when we meet next time!"
