my textbooks for this quarter all grad classes

this awfully bumpy road was finally repaired. i can now bike safely on this slope

anyways school's gonna start tmr not excited.

Sunday last day of doing nothing

School starts tmr at 8 am :((( not excited at all

This morning my computer was acting weird again but it's working fine now.

I took it to U vill they said it's the RAM and it's gonna cost a bunch to have it fix

So I just told him that I'll keep using it for now until it's dead and I'll have to fix it for sure

Oh and for Tuesday or my favorite day of the year, April fools, I'm gonna put off an awesome prank on my friend and roommates. I'm making the chocolate coated apple thing but instead of having the apple I'm using onion ;) can't wait to see their reaction when they take that bite.

I'm so evil hahaha

Oh and it's so nice out at least for now

wednesday, thursday and friday

We went to have a lunch with my friend's mom's friend
then we headed to Galveston.
it's such a cool place
the architecture was beautiful.
we went to the historic district, pleasure pier, and moody garden rainforest pyramid.

when we were there it was really quiet because it's not summer yet.
only a few people were walking on the street
we also got a bunch of candies.

Thursday was chill.
and bye cat! it's been nice staying with cat for 8 days
but most importantly, i had such a great time with my friend and his family.
it's good to get out of seattle and go to a completely different city and explore!!

now at the Denver airport waiting for my 5 pm flight back to Seattle
my responsibilities and obligations are coming back; i have a lot to do and organize and prepare for the new quarter.

Tuesday

Tuesday was a relaxing day.
went golfing (not really)
then made dinner
then went for a golf court night exploration with my friend.
we played a bit at the playground.
so much fun!

and i have my grades
3.8 for both BIOEN491 and BIOEN498 elective.
yay! i got like a 92% for my final paper of BIOEN498
still waiting for my grade for BIOEN576

anyway i'll talk to you soon

sunday and monday

so on sunday we went to woodland to shop
and i got really good deal at UO a t-shirt, a sweater, and a bow tie just $21.
and then went to church for an organ performance and food on sunday night.

on monday
we had a super awesome lunch at Goode company BBQ. the BBQ was soooo good

then we headed to Rice University. it's really different from UW very different style.

Murica!!

we went to downtown Houston, walked around, and had a drink
and found this honest bathroom sign

then we went to a shopping center and i bought shoes (i needed them like really though and it's such nice shoes) and a jacket for only like $24 because it was on super sale.

having so much fun and it's been really relaxing
love taking time off from school and work

Spring break!

i've been having a lot of fun in Texas.
we went golfing (well i wasn't really golfing but i really enjoyed being at the golf course)

we also went to Woodland. a shopping center.
it's huge
we had Chick fil a and i had the Dots ice-cream thing

they're soooo gooood. i told my friend i was reliving my American childhood because I missed it in Taiwan haha.
and we went to downtown Houston. it's such a beautiful city.

the weather and temperature were perfect!! :D
the city is really well designed
there're events going on so everyone was out in the park.
and we also went to a bar. the bars were super chill

reminds me of Taiwan. a bit nostalgic.

In Texas for spring break

Hi guys,

So I'm finally done with the quarter

Worked so hard in the library everyday and did lots of work in the lab as well

Finished my paper and felt great.

And my final went well.

Oh and I didn't get the Mary gates research scholarship. It's really difficult to get it the second time you know

And something really significant to me happened Wednesday night ;) 

I'm on spring break now finally

And I'm in Texas right now with my friend

At our layover at Denver, we actually missed a flight to Texas for some stupid reason so we got another ticket.

Thankfully, it's at the same night.

It's an ordeal we were so stressed out from it haha.

Anyway it's really warm and sunny here 

Feels like Taiwan in winter but a bit more humid.

And it's really different from Seattle haha

Yet another week

Still super busy.

Course work and lab work wise

My birthday was a blast.

My friend surprised me with a dinner and all our frineds we're there! I was so shocked and they said I looked terrified haha yeh I think I was a bit terrified haha

Then we went to a bar and had some drinks

Then Saturday I went to Q again and saw Botnek music was really good.

I danced so hard that my stomach hurt so I had to go home earlier.

Anyway

Just been going to the library every night and being very productive.

And I've been going to the lab to work on fabrication

And I was just notified that I am awarded the capstone scholarship!! Yay!!

$2500 for spring quarter.

I'm still waiting for two other scholarship results

Hopefully I'll get another $2000 for the Mary gates research scholarship.

What else...

Not really

Just busy and can't wait for the quarter to end.

Still have 1 paper (8 pages though I'm on the 3rd or the 4th now), a final exam, and a capstone progress report and some other miscellaneous works.

and i feel like i've become a true senior because sometimes i skip classes. not a lot but the ones that are not as important.
some classes are just a waste of time and i have to do something more important like research or even course work.

hey guys sorry for the late update

sorry i haven't been updating the blog as i used to.
there's not much going on.
just been busy with school and lab work.
still have a major paper (8 pages single spaced), another midterm, a final exam, 1 assignment, and 1 capstone progress to do for this quarter.
i'll have to finish them in about two weeks.

I booked a flight to Texas. I am going to Texas with my friend. it'll be fun!
and we also took a tour at a newly built apartment called AVA in U District.
it's hella nice! there're a bathroom for each bedroom, a walk-in closet, washing and drying machine for laundry, dish washer, and a balcony. we 're so excited and can't wait to move in haha! it's really really nice and i'm going to pay much less than what i am currently paying for dorm.

but yeh... have been partying every saturday night at Q
stayed till 3 am every time cuz i like the after party (the dance floor is empty haha)

oh and my bday is coming up like in less than a week. just another day you know. not really excited about it or anything.

and i just can't wait to be done with this quarter. next quarter would be awesome cuz i'll have Tuesdays and Thursdays off.
