So my life is getting back to normal

I met with my advisor to talk about my plan plan for graduation on Thursday

And I also had an appointment with my PI on Friday which took very long

Anyway he's quite satisfied of what I'd done over the summer in the research.

I'm going to start going to the lab next week. I'm excited!!

And yeh he told me that I would have a good chance of getting to the master program in his lab so yay!!!

Been hanging out with friends a lot lately.

Wells Wednesday

Just went to the bar with my friends

Got a few drinks

I'm feeling so tipsy right now.

I miss feeling like this I love it like I don't give a fuck.

Even though I'm not happy drunk.

More like a depressed drunk haha

wednesday

i biked all over the place today.
pretty fun
but feeling a bit sad and empty

i went to the quad and picked up leaves and arranged them into two circles with gradient.
making art made me felt a bit better.

then I biked to the IMA to check when they will be open for autumn quarter. it turns out that they'll be open on sep 3rd. if i get in before that, I would have to pay.

i also saw some pretty white flowers along the sidewalk

then i bike to Gas Works Park.
pretty nice out there.
but then i was stupid and biked down a super steep hill and i fell
it's not bad though only got my knee scratched and pants ripped.
i put ethanol on it after i was back to my room it hurt like hell but i had to do it.

then i bike back to my friends place and saw this spectacular view. a bunch of crows were flying over the sky.
so pretty! i love crows!

So glad to be back to Seattle

Where you wouldn't sweat by staying under the sun outdoor.

Identity

So I've been noticing that I'm so much more comfortable with myself recently

I feel free to express myself.

And the reason to this change is that I've been hanging out with my friends lately.

I think this is how it works (it's just my thought so don't take it seriously)

So by hanging out with friends you are able to notice the differences between you and your friends.

And from that, you can learn about yourself and truly understand your identities.

You can then either accept your identities and be yourself or be ashamed of your identities and hide them.

There's an important factor affecting how much you can learn about yourself. That is how different you are from your friends.

The more differences there are, the more you discover your identities. The less differences there are, the less you notice your identities.

So yeh unpacked and getting organized.

Going back to my life in Seattle

Still adjusting my jet lag

And my stomach is acting really weird recently

Felt like throwing after meals and I took a Xanax which worked. So I guess my body is under some stress now which is probably from jet lag and adjusting to the environment.

Anyways this was what my mailbox looked like after I opened it for the first time over 2 months

I literally have to pull my mails out one by one.

back to Seattle

hey guys, so I'm finally back in Seattle
I miss my family already. I'm glad I got to spend 2 months with my family but I still have to get back to Seattle to go on with my life.
the flight was fine.
A mother and her daughter were sitting next to me and they were so cute and nice. Had some conversation with the mom. She's going back to Seattle from Vietnam.
I took a xanax before the flight and another one 2 hours prior to landing.
slept for a few hours.
and my stomach was feeling fine all the way which I am still kind of surprised.
Xanax for sure worked!

anyway, I went to a dinner with my friend last night
feeling great! the weather is super nice. not too cold and not too warm

my mind is still adjusting from the whole environment change thing. it's just that Taiwan is way too different from Seattle. so my mind is still kind of in shock.
it just feels so unreal.
and yeh i'm having jet lag right now i was like wide awake at like 7 am.
gonna crash sometime this afternoon.

gonna hang out with friends today.
oh and i also have to process my photos from the kenting trip. and i'll share them with you once i upload them to flickr. just so you know the freelensing looks ridiculously beautiful!

Tuesday

back form Kenting trip.
we went to several other spots on Monday.
then went to the dentist later that night.

gonna start packing now.
my flight is tmr night but a typhoon is coming at the same time. :/
i'm just way to lucky.
can't wait to be back to Seattle.

oh and
i need to start processing photos form the trip.

Kenting trip

I've been having fun.

Went to our favorite beach yesterday and played with sand and I also stacked some stones.

Got a bit tanned.

Then we met up with my brother's friend from New Jersey and had a dinner.

But since yesterday, my gum on the left side of my face has been inflamed. And my left side of face hurts like hell.

Kill me!

We're going back to Taichung later today.

Tmr I'm gonna go to the dentist. And have my face done at a dermatologist.

Then I'm going back to Seattle on Wednesday.

So we are at kenting right now

We arrived kenting Saturday night

About 3 hour drive

Had dinner

And went on a super dope adventure with my brother.

So it's a closed down theme park called Space Port 9 星際碼頭

I remember when we stayed in this same hotel when we were still in elementary school about 10 years ago, this theme park was filled with people.

Tonight we decided to "break in" the closed down theme park. It's not even securely locked down. We could just walk inside.

Anyway, it's super spacey inside. Like huge!!! it would take us at least 3 hours to explore everything hastily. It would probably take up half a day if we were to investigate every room and every cabinet and every drawer. 

Everything was pretty much rusted and rotted. And as we walked around and went to different rooms such as office rooms, restrooms, dining room, pub, dance floor, employ physical training room, and some entertainment facilities, we concluded that the theme park closed down in 2002 which is 11 years ago.

I also picked up several items along our investigation.

We also found several items that was not related to the closing down like alcohol bottles, cigarette buds, cups, and a 2013 rave party ticket.

And we came to a conclusion that an unrelated organization held a party earlier this year at April even though it's all crappy. They also decided to locked up several places for security and safety reason.

We also checked the fire extinguisher and the date they last checked the condition of the extinguisher was Feb 2013. Which means that the employees of the hotel still came in to check stuff.

Anyway, it was a lot of fun to walk around an abandoned place with a flashlight and to try to figure out the story behind stuff.

Further investigation on the web revealed that they reason behind closing down was that the facilities failed the safety requirements. So they were forced to close down. And they probably weren't earning enough to renew the facilities.

The company was called 城市育樂 according to our evidence. It no longer exsists. 

sorry guys i've not been posting

so this week has been pretty fun so far.
hmmm i forget what i did on monday. oh... wait... oh... yes i went to have my hair cut and face done on monday.

tuesday, my brother, my mom, and I went to clean up our old house but there're still a lot to clean up.

wednesday, my brother and I went to Tamsui with our high school friends, Iris and Belle. we walked around the old street and then went biking but then i started to rain so we had to find shelter. but the rain wouldn't stop so we ended up buying raincoat and went all hardcore riding bikes in the pouring rain :P then we went back to Taipei city and had dinner at a ramen place.

it was fun! unforgettable experience.

thursday, my brother and I went to some other places with godmother. we had food at several restaurants. it was fun. i liked the food.

and it's friday now. gonna go to see a psychiatrist later then gonna go bowling with my brother and one of my best friends :D have so much to catch up with my best friend. i've only met her once this summer which was like so many weeks ago.

and i might go clubbing later tonight ;) dunno depends on how i feel later today.

and i'm heading back to seattle in less than a week!!

(my parents didn't want to take all the stair so they didn't come with my brother and me)

went to a dinner with one of my mentors.

stomach is a bit better but still acting weird especially at night.
might be GERD.

i kind of miss the people in the lab now.
haha i guess i'm just really emotional when it comes to saying goodbye.
it's always hard for me to say goodbye.
anyway, i had a great time working with them.

last day of work tomorrow!!

so my stomach has been acting really weird.

i'm wrapping up my research. almost done with my final report.
just need to analyze my qPCR data tmr with my mentor.
still get a lot to do before i left the lab and the dorm on Saturday.

anyway, i hate my stomach and i think it's probably all mental caused issues.

Panic attack

So I think I had panic attack Earlier today

So I had my lunch

And then I felt like throwing up

And then I can't think properly

I also felt kind of hot

Work all day

Writing up my report

So yeh

Now I'm feeling a bit better

Weekend

So yeh my weekend is going pretty well so far

Had my presentation on Saturday and it was alright.

I have to write up a final report before I leave next week.

So yeh get some work to do.

And then I went clubbing with my brother and a friend last night.

We went to Paris dance club.

And we met some of the people who work there. They know us because we went to Paris dance club almost every week back in my freshman year summer.

Anyway the music wasn't bad. I quite liked it.

just watched the whole Bioshock Infinite

the ending was mind-blowing. love it!
