The view is so perfect here on the top floor (roof) of my dorm.

I can see the city and the night sky and guess what I just saw a shooting star

So yeh I emailed the dorm and

They said they made a mistake 

So now I don't have to move to Hansee 

I just need to move out and in again before autumn to my original Stevens room

Works going pretty well

Have another lab meeting and presentation this Saturday

Final count down till I'm back to Seattle.

and my cells are beating!!!

so yeh got off from work late today at almost 8 pm
my mentor and i were trying to record the beating on a microscope but the computer ended up refusing to save our videos so yeh we'll have to record it tmr.

everything's going pretty well. can't wait for august!

My brother and I were just playing "guess who" game

So my brother just took out a contact book thing from elementary school

And we played guess who game

He told me each person's hobbies and their career plan.

And interestingly, people with solid career plan and specified hobbies are all working their way toward their dream now and are quite successful in terms of school and work.

However people with no career plan and vague hobbies like play videos games are still in school and don't know what they want to do for their career.

How interesting!!!

I've been doing pretty well.
been doing a bunch of cell works.
and I love my colleagues they're funny and nice!

and umm... my grandma just had a surgery last night and she's recovering now.
i hope everything is going to go well for her.

and yeh i wrote an email to the living service in my school to complain about what is going on.
and hope i'll find an easier way to live on campus. i just don't want to move two more times in the next two months because that is just ridiculous.

yeh... i can't wait to be back to Seattle.
i miss everything in Seattle, the bars, the people, my friends, the weather...

So I just found out I have to move AGAIN from Strvens Court to Hansee hall which is located at the opposite side of campus by 8/24 and I'm flying back to Seattle on 8/21.

Kill me please! And then I have to move back to Stevens court on 9/15.

Kill me again please!

Wow I wasn't expecting this. Should have moved out from dorm already. FML.

Just finished Everyone in Silico

Haha it took me more than a year to finish the novel

But I love it. 

The ending is a bit disappointing though.

But I really like the setting. Very very futuristic.

Oh and the lab meeting went pretty well.

I had my presentation on a stem cell paper. And I would say I did a pretty good job presenting. Well I guess part of the reason is that I presented it with English and they probably think I'm more professional when speaking in English lol.

Anyway, I still have about a month to go until I go back to Seattle. I miss my friend a lot.

A question came to my mind when I was outside tonight

I wonder whether one day all moths will lose their instinct of flying toward the light.

Cuz if they do they will most likely to be eaten by other predators.

So one day we won't be ale to see moths flying around lights.

My mom just called me and told me that grandma has a stage 3 colon cancer

So sad...

Going well

So work is going well

Learning how to differentiate my stem cells into heart muscle cells right now!

It's going to take 2 weeks.

And I finished working on  my presentation for lab meeting on Saturday. Just gonna make a few more changes.

And I decided to buy Portal 2 and it's fun! Love the story so far.

The major reason for playing game is that I want time to pass by quicker. Lol.

so last night was fun.
went clubbing with Iris and my bro.
the music was awesome!!
even though i only got one drink and were sober all the time, I danced all night and had so much fun!!

so I had my Friday off. my boss called me and told me that i didn't have to go to work after i took my shower.
so yeh i went home early on Friday. glad the high speed rail people allowed me to take an earlier train (my train was originally at 7 pm and by that time the weather would have been already awful)

so yeh the wind got really strong later on Friday night and the rain was really heavy.
i went outside to the park with my brother and we had so much fun. we jumped in the air and the wind literally carried us forward when we landed.

thursday

everything has been going pretty well.
my work is really fun. i learned a lot about cell culturing and stuff.
i learned how to extract RNA and synthesize DNA from the RNA.
these skills will come in handy in the future for sure ;D

and oh a typhoon is coming. it's called Soulik.
it's probably going to make a landfall somewhere northern Taiwan this Saturday.
i'd be back to Taichung by that time, so i probably don't have to worry about trains getting canceled.

and my brother and a friend are going to a party with me this Saturday.
yay, the music better be good.
i was really disappointed by the music last week when i went clubbing with my brother.
it was like switching between genres of music and I didn't know to dance to that.
i just want some EDM some god damn EDM.

and yeh that's about it.

hey guys sorry i've been updating.

so yeh everything's pretty well.
my work is going really well. i've been learning so much about cell culturing.
the skills will be super useful for my senior year.
not much is going on.
have been feeling quite unsocial recently.
don't want to meet people. i just want to be alone.

i've been feeling sad recently too. i miss my friend in seattle too much.
argh i've been counting down every single day.

Almost Friday

Everything's going pretty well.

Have been learning a lot of stuff in my lab.

I am getting familiar with cell culturing techniques.

Even though the dorm room is really small and I'm living with two other people, I don't really care. Mainly because i had lived in Mercer hall in UW for a year. Mercer hall dorm rooms were really small too.

Anyway, i haven't been really social recently (well, I'm pretty social at work; my coworkers are super nice). I have been spending a lot of time by myself. I kind of like it. Walking on the streets and taking subway by myself are pretty fun. I like exploring the city.

Gonna explore Taipei city more next week.

I'm leaving work early tmr on Friday to catch my train back to Taichung.

So yeh I'm glad days are passing by quickly. Now I want the weeks to pass by quicker. I really miss my friend in Seattle.

Tuesday

Woke up sometime at 8:30 today

Then got up and got ready and went to the convenient store

Went to the shuttle bus station and it was really really hot

I sweated all over my body

After I got on the bus

And then I wait for 10 minutes or less

And arrived the next station

And I walk to the lab

Got more stuff done today

Had lunch with my coworkers

They're super nice

Then I got off work around six

Got back to my dorm and packed Getting ready to explore Taipei city tonight. 

Excited!!!

I also took a Panoroma this morning

Moved in

Moved in to my dorm room in Taipei.

It's small and crowded but I don't mind

I met my roommate and he is pretty nice.

And yeh feeling excited to start working in Taipei. 

Taipei is awesome.

I feel like I'm going to a summer camp or something so it should be fun!
