super Über productive!!!

not going back to my room cuz it's like complete darkness.
they say the power should be back sometime before 2 am.

have been in odegaard studying for hours throughout the evening.
and i've been super super productive. read 3 research papers from the professor and i am working on the last one right now.

after that i'm going to start my biology review! midterm is coming up on friday!!

oh and i'm going to have dinner on the ave now. it's almost 8 and i only had one sandwich and a yogurt for the whole day!
but someone will probably will take away my seat :(
and i'll have to look for seat again...

whatever.. i'm going to get dinner now.

poor thing... but i have to do it for your owner's good.

so i went back to bed after the blog post.
woke up 2 times before 11:00 am thinking that the power is back
haha i dreamed about that the electricity is back and woke up and check the alarm clock but it's still dark...
maybe subconsciously i really want the electricity back or something.

anyway, my milk and yogurt in the fridge are not going to last that long...
if they don't fix it soon...

anyway, it's such a relieve that the hot water is still working!
chatted a bit with my roommates this morning (11:something) and took a shower in the darkness.

then on my way to class, the traffic lights are all down.
pedestrians and cars are all confused lol
like should i go or should i wait and it's a mess...

and just saw a credit card on the floor
i'm calling the credit card company to help the card find its owner :)

Weird

So I just woke up cuz my iPhone plugged and laying under my pillow was vibrating crazily and stuff. At the moment I woke up I heard some loud outside like a boom, and saw a flash, I think it's something breaking down or something. And all the lights inside my room was shining crazily. My alarm clock, airport express, and just everything that has an LED on it. I realized the power is out. I looked out the window and yeh the whole Stevens court is out of electricity. The traffic light nearby and street light is down as well. Thanks science I have my flashlight. And nooooo our eater is down too which means its going to be cold. Oh just check the Seattle city light website. There's a huge power outage affecting 800 or so north of the campus. Is this related? But I says it started at 4:30 but it's like 5:30 when I saw all the weird things. And the sky looks kinda pretty because there're stars!!! Lol Dunno if it's large scale enough to produce this effect... What happened? I might have to save some battery for my iPhone though. Make it short. yeh... been kinda depressed recently.

just found out that the highest score for the bio midterm was 78

and i got 77 which means i have the second highest score!!! holy crap!!

this is not real!!

yeh i guess i'm studying hard and it payed off.

went working out yesterday evening.
now my muscles sore but i like it!!
i mean that means i worked on the muscle and they'll grow hopefully...

i got a pair of new earrings! :)
so the ones i had before were little silver balls
i have ones that are black gem.
they look good! I like them!
i'm thinking of getting other colors like maybe blue ones?
so i can change them according to my moods and outfits! which will be awesome!

i dunno if you can see it clearly but yeh...

anyway, i still have a lot of readings to do and hopefully i'll get past this week.

as expected, i kinda screwed up the interview...
i was so nervous that i had no idea what i was talking about.
i bet the professor was super confused.... ;(

he wanted me to read some other papers from his group and critically analyze it for next week.
i guess i didn't critically analyzed the paper in my powerpoint and presentation.

man, after the interview i just felt so so so depressed
i feel like there's no hope at all.
i can't see my future in all aspect.
and it's still true right now.
i can't see my future... no matter how hard i try...

i just want to go somewhere and party and dance and have fun right now.
sadly i'm just a stupid little 19 years old kid.

so i decided to go to have a haircut because having my hair cut always gives me a feeling of a fresh start.

i want a new look.

and i like my haircut of course.

had dinner at the Pho place by myself and met a friend i met last year. she lived in mercer hall as well.
we had some talk and she's glad to meet me because otherwise she'd be having dinner herself.
i guess this is something good right?

and after i was back to my room
i just couldn't sit and concentrate on anything
so i decided to dump out all the trash in the bathroom and in the kitchen and in my room.
i think it helped to calm my depression?

seem like there's really nothing else to do... oh well, i'll just study then.
and since i have bio midterm next friday and more paper to read for next week.
i think i have to start studying in spite it's friday night and i've been working so hard all the weekdays.

I am so easily affected by so many little things.
That's why I get depressed easily. And thinking too much.

Anyway, I had my biology midterm back. The average of class is 54 something that's the adjusted score the raw score is about 48.
I get a 77. Good?
Wait, so 77 is the raw score. So my adjusted score should be 85.6
Hmm that's good enough.
Probably a 4.0?

Done with stat midterm. It's good at least that's what I think.

Well I'm done classes now. Waiting in foege building right now.
Kinda nervous for the interview later :/

thursday night

met with photo club people

we did high speed photography at the meeting it was fun!

done with the powerpoint and typed how i'm going to present it out

hopefully the interview will go well tomorrow... so nervous...!!

and stat midterm tmr!

i found out i've been adding more friends on Facebook recently

well, i guess my existence is worth it then ;)

i've been adding people i met last year when i bumped into them

they seem to be happy to reconnect with me as well.

it's a good thing i guess

oh and i'm starting a new project to help boost my socializing skill.

so the first thing is i'll have to start greeting people with their name.

so for example, when i meet my roommate, i'll have to say, "Hi, Brandon." 

instead of just nod, or wave hand, or say hey or hi.

and never avoid people you know.

1 day left till interview....!

so i'm almost done with my 15 minute powerpoint
hopefully my interview on friday will go well.
i'm actually typing up what i'm going to say during my presentation
it's like running through it by myself
i won't print it out or bring it to the interview
typing it out kinda structuralize my presentation so i'll know what to say then

my bio reading is falling behind schedule again

and have statistics midterm on friday. i've already written out the note sheet for the midterm
so i'm pretty ready for it.

hmmm.... yeh wednesday day is my crazy day if you haven't know yet.
have class from 12 pm to 8 pm

finally done with all my research article reading. emailed the professor and scheduled an interview this Friday. He also told me to do a 15 minute presentation on one of the paper I read.
i can do it but i'm so nervous...

anyway, i feel like it's coming back again. the feeling of losing motivation I had weeks ago.
i start to feel like doing nothing and just sit there and stare at the screen....
please, you have a midterm and an interview this friday and another midterm next friday and another next next monday and another next next next friday and it just goes on....

you have to concentrate!!!
there's still a long way to go!

work on your powerpoint, read what you're supposed to read, process on the photos, and go work out!!

Just finished my bio midterm. I think I did ok on it. Like yeh... Not perfectly alright, but alright.

It's a great day. Sunny out there should get some sun after I finish my brunch, ham and Swiss sandwich and a yogurt.

long weekend is over

so i think i've been quite productive during this long weekend

i'm ahead of schedule for all of my classes. done so much reading!!

i have one research paper to read left  (read like 3 paper this weekend) then i can finally schedule an interview with the professor
oh man i'm taking so long. i'm kinda worry it'll affect my possibility of getting admitted to the lab :(

and i've been processing my photos this weekend as well.
almost done. have around 150 photos left.
they're so pretty i can't wait to upload them and show them to you!!

i really have to thank the snow for giving me three extra days.

um what else...
yeh there has been more interaction between me and my roommates which is good.
i'm making efforts yay!! :D

and oh i have to start working out! i'll say sometime this week. maybe monday?
can't wait to gain more MUSCLE!

and yeh i should go to bed now!

hung out with Frances and her friends Friday night. oh wait that's Thursday night.... totally confused right now.
we wandered around the campus and had fun with snow.

last night (friday night), France and I saw "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" at a movie theater.
it was a good movie... well i've read the book in high school so i the movie totally made sense.

today (Saturday) just went back from an optional make up lab for biology.
you know my wednesday lab was cancelled...
i decided to go because i think it's going to help a lot with my midterm which is coming up on monday.

hmmm and yeh... studying and processing photos for the rest of my long weekend.

One more day off!!

Amazing how we only have school this tuesday. 2 hours of classes for the whole week, that's all!!
Monday was MLK day. Classes are cancelled on Wednesday, Thursday, and now Friday! And then it's the weekend! It's totally a 5 day weekend!! "Mini spring break" as my friends on facebook called it.
Gotta love snow!!! There's still so much snow outside.

Winter is now my favorite season!! Haha :P

I just can't believe this is happening! It must have been a dream!

in the end, i decided to go out and take some photos though it's really cold outside, and it's like 5:30 am :P
but it's the best time to get some awesome night photos of the snow before it is all ruined by other people.

so i dressed up and got my tripod and camera and out i went.
it's really really really pretty outside.
it's hard to describe the beauty with words.
the snow is so smooth and white covering the floor. accumulating about 1 inch or so.
well... before i stepped on it. there're my footprints everywhere now.
tried out a lot of freelensing shots... i think i'm mastering the skill for freelensing!
anyway, it's also really really cold outside. -2.2 C
i felt like my fingers and toes were all frozen.
kinda slippery out there already when i walked around. must be horrible tomorrow to walk outside.

it's going to snow more and heavier in the morning and noon.
i wanna go to bed soon so i can take even more pictures when i wake up!
because there will be MOAR SNOW!!!!!

have been super busy studying. caught up a whole lot of readings during the weekend.
i'm at the brink of getting behind the schedule now. have to keep it up!!!

the snow today was beautiful. none of them stuck on the ground though. wasn't cold enough.

yeh... school wasn't cancelled today :(
but we still get a chance. which is tomorrow.
the snow storm heading toward Seattle now might break the record of snowfall.
it's expected to dump more than 5 inches of snow!!! (which is crazy) later tonight till Wednesday evening.
it's going to be historical according to the weather people.

went to see a movie called "The Dangerous Method" with Frances at the Broadway.

it's interesting. i'll like to learn more about the psychologists in the film.

have to work hard this weekend!! i really have to catch up because the bio midterm is next week!! :O

wednesday, i have class from 12 pm to 8 pm.
well, i'm feeling better now. cuz i've been catching up with my works and stuff.
just finished my dinner and stumbled a little on stumbleupon.

the lab was quite fun.
it's the first lab of the quarter.
i like my lab partners.
we experimented with galactosidase and it's reaction with different kinds of sugar.

hmm... not much to say...
i think i just have to shut up and do stuff.
still have a lot to catch up on readings.
damn, what was i doing last week? shouldn't have procrastinated so much.
now i pay the price.

yeh... and i need to go work out soon. after i finish with all the work.


oh oh and it might snow early next week! excited!!

what is happening to me?

i kept going to my first class late.
it's at 12:30 pm. how can i be late to a 12:30 class?

woke up today at like 11:40 am and felt like a zombie
like i feel so lost. and was late to bio class and had to sit on the floor.
after the class i bought my sandwich at by George,
i thought i took out my husky card and handed it to the cashier, but the cashier turned around and swiped my card with another machine... obviously, i handed her my debt card...

i found an empty seat and as i was consuming my sandwich, i felt like throwing up...
it's a different feeling from acid reflux

i have been feeling so weak and empty.
and different.
so tired.

as for my homework and stuff,
i think i'm slowly catching up.
oh and research articles... so much to do...

had the scariest nightmare since i remembered the last dream I had...

so I dreamed about zombies... all bloody and stuff...

and one of them bit me in the neck. i could feel the pain. 

I woke up from the dream and I was like what the...

and then I fall asleep again, but the dream didn't just end.

I was lying on my bed in my dorm room, it just felt really real.

and i heard zombies out of my room and I was like what the heck.

i know it sounds stupid and yes it's stupid but 

one of them got to my neck and bit me!! it hurt! (in the dream of course)

Second day of school

It was alright except the part when I got acid reflux symptoms during noon.

Bio class was alright but I didn't get a seat cuz I was late.
Stat class was alright. Sounds exciting and fun. Looking forward to learn some new stuff from the class.
PHG was totally awesome. It's like a class designed for me. I love the subjects discussed. Like the social, ethical...etc issues on genetic test, gene modifying stuff.

It's super rainy today. Glad I have my new North face jacket most of the day.
Haha I totally didn't wear a rainjacket cuz I didn't know it was raining so hard till the second class.

Now waiting at a restaurant for my order.

first day of school

woke up at 11:00 am (i had a not so good sleep cuz i woke up several times)
took a shower, dressed up, had oatmeal and went to class
biology class was my first and last class of the day (the stat quiz section starts next week)

so i went to buy a birthday cake for one of my roommates; it's his birthday today.
then i went to work out :D
but my stomach wasn't feeling really well so i had to wrap it up in less than an hour i believe.
not a good start but at least i did ran to the IMA, ran on a treadmill, and pulled some weights.

i'm doing fairly well on my new years resolutions,
still taking PPI medication though i haven't really felt any improvement
i've started to work out again today which didn't go really well
i'm still trying to get into a research lab... i sent out emails yesterday asking for available positions but both of them are full. there's one more on my list, going to send an email later when my stupid organic chem grade is out. (my organic chemistry grade isn't out yet >:( )
and i think i'm spending more time with friends, still improving
