last day of 2011

my last day of 2011 is super normal for now
i have jet lag now. woke up super early today and feeling a little tired right now.

took a long shower after i got up. i washed myself super clean with a scrub thingy.
dressed up for more than 20 minutes have to look super good for the last day of the year.
had breakfast.
then i took a bus to the bank in Ballard and got stuff sorted out.
took bus back to UW
went shopping a little for necessities.
bought a sandwich at my favorite sandwich place where Frances introduced to me. the people there recognized me. we greeted.
and walked back to my dorm.
did laundry and having my lunch now yum yum.
and i finally paid for my dorm and Flickr.

Frances is going to meet up with me later when she's back.
we're probably going to have a dinner and watch a movie. we'll see.

just woke up at 7:30 am and i decided to get out of my bed
it's like 11:30 pm in taiwan which is just 30 minutes away from 2012!

christmas eve and christmas morning

just got back home from 18 TC

first of all, merry christmas guys!

so I went to celebrate grandfather's birthday today for dinner

then headed to 18 TC to celebrate Christmas, well more like bonding with friends i guess

met up with Iris and waited in line. later Vincent joined us. 

I brought my shade glasses with me to the club haha. it's was awesome.

18 TC is as awesome as it was before. totally love the club!! awesome music from awesome DJ.

and yeh didn't drink at all but still danced and had a lot of fun!!

met up with DJ Allen as well, just a side note, I met DJ Allen during the summer when my brother and I were frequenters to Paris dance club.

he was the guest DJ for the second floor of the club tonight.

he saw me and then bro hugged me and said, "I drank too much. haha."

he also told me to go visit him when his new club opens in the future. (side note: if i'm correct, Paris dance club was closed because it's making too much noise.  how could you call awesome music, "noise"? that's so wrong)

anyway, i went out to get water once cuz i wasn't feeling so well. and of course, it's my stomach. 

but it's really interesting that when i got super into the music and super excited, i don't feel the nauseous feeling. probably because I was super relaxed, so no pressure could cause pain.

and yeh, danced, danced, and danced.

had fun.

i was super Über sober and it's kinda sad but entertaining to watch drunk people talking and walking.

before i took a cab home i bought a sandwich for lunch

when i was home i saw the cups in the sink and i actually washed them. haha i washed the cups.

so weird.
but i hope one day i could wash cups of "someone i love" when i get "home." it'll be great to actually do something for someone. (i love my parents and i'm talking about different kind of love here)

gotta go to bed now have to wake up tomorrow and meet up with Ping for afternoon tea.

Last night was fun.
Went clubbing with Vincent last night. And I DIDN'T DRINK AT ALL which sucks :(
But I still had a lot of fun dancing around.

We wanted to go in 18 tc but it's restricted to VIP and reservation :(
So we went to a newly opened club just right next to 18 tc called x- cube from the xaga group.
It's pretty but too much freaking table areas. Like the dance floor is super super tiny and people were like crossing over the dance floor so you couldn't really dance on the dance floor how ironic.

Yeh. Just drove Vincent home. The traffic is ridiculous!!
On my way home now.

Body examination

Have to type this up fast cuz I don't want to lose it like literally lose it. Feel like I'm losing my memory.

So I have been through body height and weight measurement, blood test, vision test, EKG, artery stiffening test, abdominal ultrasound, chest X-ray, and some doctor meeting like upper respiratory check, urinary and prostate test ( i know :p), Chinese medicine meeting (not in chronical order but it's kinda ordered like this), and lastly the endoscopy for my stomach area and intestine area.

The first parts of my body check up were fairly smooth and quick.

Had to wait for my last part of the test, the endoscopy.

The last is the most interesting part. So I walked downstairs with a nurse and another patient, well not really a patient but another man who is also doing body check up.

A nurse gave a liquid I believe it's an anesthesia liquid cuz it kinda feels numb in my esophagus. And it's sweet kinda tasty haha probably because I'm hungry.

Then I went into a room felt just like the room I did my surgery back then.

I lied down on a bed.
Then an anesthesiologist started to talk to me about stuff like why am I doing the test and some background info it's like a usual talk.
She put oxygen supply to my nose and some heart rate and breath monitoring thing on my body.
Then she put an IV on my back of my hand.
Then they put a thing in my mouth.
She is super nice and yeh she talked to me a lot.
Then she said, "I'm going to put you to sleep now. Tell us if you feel uncomfortable."
I said, ok!"
I saw the doctor preparing the instrument.
Then my vision became blurred (more blurred than not wearing glasses) and sounds from surrounding faded. I can felt my heart beating faster and faster. Then I woke up.
The anesthesiologist told me that the stomach endoscopy was done.
Then I think I talked nonsense. Memory loss!!!
Totally felt like drinking lol. Like I was so happy and then talked a lot.
Then I went to sleep again for te intestine endoscopy.

The next time I woke up I was already outside of the endoscopy room.
I felt a little pain in my intestine. I believe a nurse woke me up. She told me that I'm done and asked me how I was feeling. I said I was super tired so she told me to rest a little. She then took off my IV.
I think I slept a little and then woke up again. I started checking my body seeing whether it was sill hooked up to all the monitor stuff. But they're all gone. I realize there was a paper slip in my pocket of the shirt. I took it out and it was the slip keeping track of what I've done.

My stomach (or more like intestine) was really bloated.
then a nurse told me and other people to stand up and go up stairs to the health check center. I stood up and felt super weak and dizzy haha
I really have to admit, it felt just like after I drank!!
Anyway, Went up stairs and then rest a bit in a room and started to type this entry up. I don't want to forget any detail since I was still in effect of the anesthetic drug.

Now I'm at the cafeteria of the health check center eating some awesome food. I dont usually say awesome for food but yes I haven't eaten for a day so it's awesome!
Anyway, felt awesome having the meal and yeh going to hear the result later

i was diagnosed with acid reflux or GERD
and duodenitis which is inflammation of the duodenum


no wonder i have so much abdominal pain in the last months.


anyway, i have to keep an eye on what i eat and drink so the conditions wouldn't get worse.

in bathroom now and basically shitting water LOL!!!

so to be specific, i'm doing endoscopy tomorrow so that's why i have to get rid of all stuff in my digestive system.

it's not going to be fun in the next few hours... :(

winter break!

so it's saturday midnight now
um.... recap time

so Thursday night, Frances, her friend, and I went to have sushi and walked and shopped around downtown. fun!
friday, woke up at noon and picked up my organic chemistry final. Our TA got it done super early. He's really nice, best TA in UW.
and woohoo, i got 112 out of 150 the average is 50 something. i thought i'm going to get something around average but it turns out to be a lot a lot better.
and on the other hand, bio final grade was out this afternoon, i got 78 out of 100 which is awful and the average is 74. i'm not satisfied with my final exam grade.
but the ultimate final grade for my bio is 3.8 which is awesome.

i've been developing photos and watching episodes of Adventure Time since the break started.
did a lot of stuff but i feel like something was still missing......
i think it's my social life.... i need it back.... my roommates were having a lot of fun together but i seem unable to fit in... it's like i always lock myself in my room but i want to hang out with them but but.... but... probably everyone gets used to me locking myself in my room studying...
i have to work on it... or else i'll be FOREVER ALONE!!!

anyway, it's almost 4 now gonna go to bed...
oh i'm going out with Frances and few other friends tomorrow. gonna do some shopping and watching movie.

.... i just feel like i'm not doing enough... and i'm sad.... :(

done with bioengineering final project!! just finished typing up the conclusion of our project. the project looks awesome! it's shiny and delicious! lol jk. i'm just too happy that i finished the project. now i just have to read it over a few times and revise it.
im so glad to work with my teammates they're great people!

ducks are cute!! and crows and seagulls.

today before my chem final, i had my brunch outside bagley hall in front of Drumheller fountain where patches of ice are floating on the water surface. then those cute ducks just came in front of me. they knew i had food on my hand.
so the irresistible cuteness made me tore up some of my food i was eating and they were so excited!!!
i fed some of my food to the cute ducks and then more ducks joined the crowd and then there're seagulls and then crows joined.
LOL i was literally surrounded by birds!!

when i finished my brunch and walked to the garbage bin near bagley hall, the ducks followed me.
i was like, they're so adorable!!! anyway, i'm totally going to do this again sometime in the future!! they're just too cute!

one down two to go

Done with bio final!!! Woohoo! Didn't really study for bio during the weekend nor hours before final but I think I did pretty well on it. Gone through all questions without ambiguity.
It was a super chill day for me.
Woke up at like 12:00 pm and took a shower then got ready dressed up and went to by George had lunch and yup looked through weekly study questions a bit.
After exam I met up with my bioengineering final project teammates in Poplar hall. We decided not to meet in Odegaard since its always crowded.
Actually it was my first time going into poplar hall after the construction.
It's super legit inside!! Like I will like to live in Poplar! But I like single room better still haha.
Anyway, I'm waiting for my dinner at Thai 65 I order a drunken noodle.

Have to start the conclusion part for our final project when I get back to my room also start studying for chem. so much reactions to memorize!!! D:

i actually made it all the way till now almost 7 am

so at around 6 am i packed up my camera, dressed up and went out. i walked around to find the perfect spot of sighting the eclipse but it's so cloudy here in Seattle... sad that couldn't see the lunar eclipse :(

so instead i walked around with my tripod and took some close up photos of the sparkly grasses and leaves.

freezing out there but it's beautiful!

couldn't feel my feet few minutes ago haha but i'm fine now!

i'll take it as my study break :P

Last day of school

Last day of school is so far so awesome!!
It is sunny and my stomach is doing well.
Just finished my last math 308 class and my last bio 180 class.
And just when bio class is about to end. There is this girl who was really really excited. She was crying and stuff and she gave balloons to our professor.
I was like "wow! that is hardcore!!"

Just walked into bagley hall and there were pigeons wandering under some trees they're so cute!!

I'm in my last organic chem class right now! Ttyl.
Oh and i have presentation for our bioengineering final group project in foege building next class.

i'm feeling little better now

was super crappy and busy the whole day but it gets better later at the evening

recap of a long day...
woke up early at the morning for the last BIOEN class
stomachache got worse after class so i headed back to dorm and took a short nap
woke up at 11:00 am with stomachache :(
went to my last BIO 180 lab and then went to bio review lecture
just when we started, fire alarm went off and the whole Kane hall was evacuated. then i found out not only Kane hall was evacuated, Odegaard, Suzzallo library were evacuated as well. it's massive!
anyway, it lasted for at least 30 minutes.
then the alarm finally went away and it was already 2:14 pm
just a few people (including me) headed back to the lecture.
then i went to Suzzallo library to study. wrapping up my bioen final project.
then i met with my bioengineering group for the presentation tomorrow.
we did some presentation practice.
then i went back to dorm to pick a pack of cookies and my camera then i head to the last photo club meeting of the quarter
after meeting i came back to my room and talked to one of my roommates.
i liked our conversation. and i learned a lot about him! which is good!
and yup here i am. haven't done any studying yet... should get started asap!! finals are coming up!!!
and my abdominal pain is lessening... finally.... geez... i search a bit online and found "pancreatitis"
i found the symptoms somehow familiar....

my whole has been so crappy

i had this ridiculous stomachache for the whole day and it's still going on now...
performance lowers when i get stomachache. :(
felt like throwing up... WTF! D:

so if you haven't know already,
i've been putting down my bed times and when i wake up and what food i ate and things that are related to my stomach on post it note ever single day since the end of october
so i can keep track of what going on when i get stomachache.

i'll evaluate my bed times and the food i ate yesterday when i'm back to my dorm
i really want to find out what's the cause of this terrible feeling.

went to career center today for resume proofreading

she said i did a great job on my first resume lol

anyway, yeh... i still have to revise it several times before i send it out to the lab i want to get in

hopefully the spot will still be available when i send my email to the PI...

some recap. 

i did really well on my last bio midterm 94% :D and hopefully it's going to make up the awful grades i got for the two previous midterms

ummm my last organic chem midterm was totally a disaster... i got 57% and average was like 63%

ewww... but they're going to drop my lowest midterm score... so i don't have to worry about it. perfect scores for the first three midterms ;)

and i totally screwed up my chem quiz today... didn't study for it at all.... i was too busy working on my bioen final project and my resume... meh... i'll just have to study hard for the final then...

and oh there's this dessert thing from 7 to 10 at 1101. it's free. so it's probably going to be completely crowded by then... i'll probably go there at around 8? 9?

@@ i'm still busy as hell and i want the quarter to end right now! like right now!! >:(

3 days left till the quarter ends, yay!!!

monday

i had a bad night eating popcorn before sleep is not a good idea...
so i ended up having stomachache and felt really bloated... :(
like i woke up at 7 something am and went to bathroom
and woke up again at 9 something and went to bathroom
i'm feeling better right now but i'm tired and still feel like throwing up....

umm... so i'm done with class right now
studying at the Odegaard library waiting for Melvin to be here at 4:30 pm

still working on my BIOEN final project
and umm... there's this great opportunity for a research position i saw in an email and i want to get in!!
so i'm also working on my resume at the same time!

saturday

yesterday sucked like hell.
woke up... took a shower... read biology textbook... ate some stuff*... read more... ate... read... read...
*ate cereal without milk (i finished one bag of cereal), some peanuts, crackers, and a noodle thing
i literally stayed at the apartment for the whole day and most time in my room...

but at the end of the day (or more like 05:00 am of sunday) i'm done with biology reading!!!! heck yes!!!!!!!!!
i only have to do the reading quizzes and practice exams for bio.

so i'll start to do my bioengineering final project now. it's due next week. uhh....

and i still get 2 chapters of organic chemistry and 1.5 chapters of linear algebra to read....

i have to spit this out

so when i was buying my new plant today after my haircut
cuz i was carrying my bag in this small way of the store, i accidentally knocked a glass vase on the table and it fell into a ceramic pot on the floor.
i was like holy shit!!!
i picked it up and whew the glass vase was fine.
and the ceramic pot was fine but part of it is chipped off... D:
the people in the store were really nice.

i said, "i'm so sorry about that"
she told me don't worry about it, but i felt really embarrassed after the incident...

...

i ended up watching videos on youtube.... :(
dang.... i'm wasting my time...

ok i really have to go back to work but my stomach isn't feeling well....

so after class, i went to get a haircut not in the barbershop i used to go to but the one further north
i like my haircut as usual it's shorter ;)

cuz my fern was drying up so bad so i cut it allowing it to regrow again
my desk looks really empty so i bought a new pot of plant

anyway, went to photo club meeting today
chilled around and talked about future plans
it was great.

hmmm, i should start my homework now :(
